Wildcat Demon

Hello everyone,

Today we're gonna have it about building a wild cat demon,
mainly for Celu Gold since thats the easiest gold run.
As you might know the Soul points (SP) rewarded from bronze/silver runs are insignificant compared to Gold runs.
Bronze is like 6 SP, Silver like 14 SP  and Gold like 350 SP (rank A).
For getting nice WC skills from the npc in cathedrals you'll need around 10k SP or higher,
which means you gotta do alot of runs. And if you'd try to get it in bronze or silver you'd be busy for a long,long time.

Now lets talk about demons
Perhaps this isn't any news to you, but spells have the highest dmg modifiers.
Which means basically that they can do the most dmg out of every other type of skill.
Thats why making a spell demon is a good way for making a decent demon.

Features that boost a certain element are very nice, they can make a skill of that same affinity do lots of dmg.
That's why you should make use of that.  And get skills of that affinity on your demon.
Also remember that you will be  having skills on your demon that you might change for other (WC) skills in the future,
thats why its a smart choice to pick skills that help you in WC Celu Gold.
Talking about:

Tetrakarn (physical mirror, makes it easier to move through the dungeon)
-Onkot has it by default
Makarakarn (magical mirror, makes it easier to move through the dungeon)
-Hathor learns it at lv21
Dormina (used for sleeping Nightmare mobs, most of them are weak to mind)
-Harpy,Cu sith have it by default
Marin Karin (used for charming Nightmare mobs, most of them are weak to mind)
-Isora,Nekomata,Sarasvati have it by default
Petra Eyes (used for stoning Nightmare Sleipnir and Nightmare Principality)
-many mobs, including Chorozon, Gorgon, Yomutsu-Shikome.
Recarm (get recarm instead of samrecarm, because it has shorter incantation time and costs less mp)
-note that you will be teleported out of the dungeon when you're dead for more than 1min
Mediarama (just some heals, do mediarahan if you like, but if you gonna replace it..)
Gale Force

In Celu Gold there are alot of mobs weak to magic-affinity, which makes Deathtouch a great skill to have
on your demon. It deals magic-affinity dmg and heals your demon for 50% of the dmg.
Mobs that are weak to Magic-affinity: Nightmare Onkot, Deformed Apis, Deformed Hanuman, Nightmare Sleipnir, Deformed Sleipnir, Thor(bossroom), Valkyrie(bossroom). (it also deals 100% dmg on Tarasque)

Thor and Odin are weak to Force and mobs don't reflect force in the bossroom, it also deals 100% dmg on Tarasque.
Deformed Cyclops are weak to it aswell, but Sleipnir reflects it. It is necessary to kill Thor as quick as possible in the bossroom, thats why alot dmg is required. It would be wise to have a force skill on your demon, either Zandyne,Mazandyne or Hurricane Cannon (All obtainable from Accomplished Aeros, do know that Cannons are 100% spell based + 50% longrange, based on this fact you could rebirth your demon a few times as Fehu and/or Uruz, Laguz ofcourse too, but you should alrdy since it also adds Spell)

Ice and Fire can also be used for clearing normal rooms, in the bossroom Valkyrie absorbs fire and tarasque has a chance to absorb it, Dis will reflect it sadly)
Theres a bunch of mobs though that have high resistance against Fire and Ice,
Naturally try to aim for the strongest skills, Mabufudyne,Bufudyne,Blizzard Cannon, Maragidyne,Agidyne,Corona Cannon.
(Ice Obtainable from Inexp Jack frost(Dynes 60),Accomp Aquans(All 60),Inexp Ganga(Cannon 33),
Fire obtainable from Accomp Pyro Jack(Dynes 56),Accomp Flamies(All 60),Accomp Unicorn(Cannon 36),
Ose(Agidyne by default)

Other skills worth mentioning:
Satisfaction 1
-increases crits, obtainable from Bicorn and some other demons, shouldn't be hard
Megidora(on)
-Megidora from lv60 inexp Decarabia, Megidoraon from inferno Pyro/blizzard Frost/stormy Pixie at lv45,inexp slime lv50
Anti-Elec
-useful in bossroom, Thor can do a painful spin that does over 1k dmg, [can also be avoided with tetrakarn], Raiju lv50,Catoblepas lv61



Rebirthing

When you make a nice demon that you wanna use in Wildcat runs, you would ofcourse also want to rebirth it.
If you have alot of gears that boost your demon, you can alrdy begin earlier with Wildcat runs.
When you don't its the wise to rebirth your demon first some times.

Personally I think its the most convenient to start with Wyrd,

Wyrd gives hp and mp bonus.

Besides that the growth itself is really boring, other then the hp/mp, the other stats don't grow much.
The convenient part about it is, that you have already a nice hp/mp pool.
So you can take more damage and you can use more spells.
That's why I recommend you to do it as first, unless you can level your demon really quick.


The order of the other growths aren't that important besides the last one.
But I do have some advice about the order:

If you wanna start doing more damage I'd recommend you start with either Hagalaz,Pertho,Laguz or Sowilo after doing Wyrd

Yes, I mentioned Pertho, and this leads us to the final rebirth growth.
My advice about the final growth is that you should finish with Laguz because it will reduce the cooldown time of skills the most.
At the cost of some spell compared to Pertho.

There is an exception though, if your demon has the Technician feature, you should go for Pertho as final growth, that is if you prefer higher consistent dmg over a higher chance on spike dmg (crits). The cooldown wouldn't be such a big factor due to the Technician feature.

Now I'll just name the growths you should rebirth your demon with:

Wyrd (hp+mp bonus)
Sowilo (all attributes bonus)
Laguz (long-range and spell bonus)
Hagalaz (close-range and spell bonus)
Nauthiz (p-def bonus)
Ansuz (m-def bonus)
Pertho (spell bonus)
Ingwaz (summon cost decreased)

(and Fehu + Uruz if  you have cannons)
(Eihwaz if you have heals ^^)
The amount of times you're gonna rebirth your demon each growth is really up to you.
I think though that getting to rank 4 (lv50) is atleast do-able for everyone.
